A national company requires a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic for an immediate start for a long-term role leading to a permanent role, paying between $45-$50ph + penalties/Super and overtime available.
Your new role
Your new role as a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic will include, maintaining, diagnosing and repairing heavy-duty vehicles, including buses, trucks etc. Key responsibilities will include, performing routine services, diagnosing and repairing complex issues in engines, transmissions, and braking systems, conducting roadworthy inspections.
Diagnosis and troubleshooting:
Test drive vehicles to locate and identify faults, and use diagnostic tools and computers to diagnose problems.
Repairs and maintenance:
Perform routine maintenance and complete repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, steering, and braking systems.
Dismantle, remove, overhaul, and reassemble engine assemblies and other components.
Repair or replace worn or defective parts.
Conduct safety and roadworthy inspections.
Specialised systems: Service and repair other systems such as cooling systems, air-conditioning, and suspension systems.
What you'll need to succeed
Along with previous experience, you will need a minimum of a Cert III in Heavy vehicle Mechanics.
What you'll get in return
This is a long-term role that could lead into a permanent position very quickly. You will receive between $45 and $50ph with Saturday work and overtime available.
