About the Role
Port Wine Pty Ltd is seeking a qualified and experienced Stonemason to join our team on a full-time basis to support ongoing rural construction and restoration projects on a working mixed-farming property located on the Fleurieu Peninsula, South Australia. This is a long-term skilled role involving stone construction, fencing, eco-retreat development, and repairs and restoration of farm outbuildings.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
* Cutting, shaping, and laying stone for construction and restoration works
* Constructing and repairing stone walls and structural masonry elements
* Building rural fencing and property infrastructure
* Assisting in the construction of eco-retreat buildings and related structures
* Repairing and maintaining farm outbuildings and rural infrastructure
* Reading and interpreting construction plans and specifications
* Ensuring compliance with Australian building and safety standards
* Maintaining tools and equipment and following workplace safety procedures
* Working independently and contributing to long-term construction projects
Skills and Experience Required
* Trade qualification in Stonemasonry (Certificate III or equivalent)
* Minimum 5 years relevant industry experience
* Demonstrated experience in structural stone construction and masonry work
* Ability to interpret technical drawings and plans
* Current driver’s licence
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
* Ability to work full-time in a rural environment
* Willingness to commit to a long-term ongoing position
