Team Leader Environmental Scientist - Contaminated Land - Brisbane, QLD
Join us as a Team Leader Environmental Scientist at Tetra Tech. This role involves leading high‑profile contaminated land projects across Defence, Petroleum, Local Government, Mining and Resources.
What You'll Do
* Support, mentor and develop a specialist team delivering contaminated land site assessment and remediation projects.
* Manage day‑to‑day team operations, including resource planning and collaborative workload management.
* Deliver projects to a high technical standard, ensuring safety, quality and integrity.
* Provide guidance and assurance across investigation, remediation and reporting activities.
* Build strong relationships with clients and work closely with senior technical leaders on growth and improvement opportunities.
* Engage with regulators and internal stakeholders across Australia.
* Foster a culture of safety, wellbeing and continuous improvement.
What You'll Bring
* A degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Geology or a related discipline.
* Approximately 8+ years' experience in contaminated land consulting (site assessment, remediation, regulatory engagement).
* Proven or emerging leadership skills with a collaborative and people‑centred approach.
* Strong understanding of national and state environmental regulations.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
* Australian citizenship or permanent residency (required for Defence projects).
* CEnvP (General or Site Contamination Specialist) is highly regarded.
