Skills and Requirements for this Role:Experience in building maintenance and gardening, landscapingKnowledge of Aged Care industry is desirableThorough understanding of all legislative requirements pertaining to maintenance and repairs i.e. OH&S & Fire/EvacuationAbility to perform a wide variety of tasks including use of tools and equipmentWillingness to be contribute to after-hours maintenance requirements from time to timeExcellent communication skills and respect for residents and colleaguesPrevious experience working autonomously with limited directionBe able to make decisions about costs and priorities and documenting a full plan for work to be completedSupervise and monitor grounds and systems Contribute to the support of aged care residents by providing quality service as required, and with respect to dignity and privacy.Essential:Victorian drivers licenseReliable, strong work ethicValid police check, less than 12 months oldPreferred:Trade Qualification e.g. Landscaping or OHS Qualification is advantageousBenefits & Work Culture:As a purpose led, not-for-profit organisation, our staff's health and wellbeing are important to us.
