- **Mechanical Engineering Technician - Plastics**_
This role will see you manage all aspects of machine and associated equipment preparation against production plan. Maintain and improve on machine efficiencies and processes in line with Plas-Pak WA's first-time right goal. Ensure production runs in line with Certification of Compliance (COC), Non-Conformance reporting, root cause investigations and customer expectations whilst ensuring HACCP & OH&S regulations are met. Manage and maintain plant & material requirements including associated equipment, through efficient and effective work practices whilst providing supportive management of the manufacturing team.
To be eligible for this role, you will require,
- EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE_
- Experienced mechanical engineering technician - Area of expertise - Plastics
- Formal plastic processing qualifications in injection, extrusion, or related fields
- Minimum 8 years plastic manufacturing experience.
- Minimum 5 years working knowledge of machine process optimisation and improvement
- Minimum 5 years working knowledge of machine hydraulics / pneumatics
- Previous working knowledge of machine maintenance programs
- Previous supervision / management of reports
- Forklift Licence or the ability to obtain (required)
- Previous repetitive quality control monitoring experience (preferred)
- Material & material delivery systems management experience (preferred)
- Competitive Manufacturing Cert III (preferred) KNOWLEDGE
- Knowledge of plastic processing machinery and machine setting. (unconditional)
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing Principles (preferred)
- Experience / knowledge of Overall Equipment Effectiveness (preferred)
- Experience in plastics packaging (preferred)
