Job Summary:
As an Accounts Receivable Officer, you will play a vital role in managing the agency's accounts receivable tax invoice register, compiling monthly debtors reports, and assisting with external and internal compliance audits.
The ideal candidate will possess strong computing skills, including working knowledge of databases, spreadsheets, and reporting tools for financial documentation. You will be responsible for verifying transactions, preparing and posting accrual and correction journals, and reconciling BAS reports.
Key responsibilities include:
* Processing and maintaining the agency's accounts receivable tax invoice / Ledger Transfer Fund (LTF) Register
* Assisting in accounts reconciliations and creating journals as required
* Compiling and maintaining data to facilitate the lodgement of the agency's Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT) and Business Activity Statements (BAS)
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
The successful candidate will possess:
* Strong computing skills with a working knowledge of databases, spreadsheets, and reporting tools for financial documentation
* Demonstrated ability to work accurately with a high level of attention to detail and meet tight deadlines
* Proven experience in preparing and posting accrual and correction journals
* Strong understanding of treatment of Goods and Services Tax (GST) for various types of receipts
