AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support all AWS data centers and the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. Controls Deployment & Service (CDS) Engineers deliver and support data center building automation systems, such as Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS). CDS Engineers work to deploy and service building automation systems, to ensure the health of our data centers. They may oversee the deployment of a new BMS or EPMS as part of a new data centre build, deliver projects to upgrade an existing data centre owned or leased by Amazon, or deliver projects to upgrade colocated data centres with Amazon hardware. They may also provide local servicing expertise to our fleet or data centres in their region and occasionally assist with global support. Successful CDS Engineers partner effectively with teams across Amazon and maintain strong relationships with vendors.
Key Responsibilities
* Deployment of data centre controls on time, with effective management of vendors to ensure minimal defects at the point of Power and Facilities Hand‐Off (PFHO).
* Delivery of critical projects to upgrade data centre automation.
* Service and support to partner teams, providing diagnosis and resolution of Loss of Visibility (LOV), Loss of Resilience (LOR), Large Scale Event (LSE), Critical Scale Event (CSE), and other operations impacting events.
* Resolution of tasks within predefined Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
* Delivery of further initiatives to improve the efficiency of our data centres or our operations procedures.

About the Team
The Data Center Capacity Delivery Asia‐Pacific Controls Deployment and Service (DCCD APAC CDS) team delivers and services the control systems which monitor and ensure the health of our data centres. APAC CDS' mission is to safely provide our customers with the unmatched reliability, security, and performance that AWS is known for. The team covers six business domains of deployments, projects, service, colo, on‐call support, and management.

Basic Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
* Experience carrying new design concepts through exploration, development, and deployment or mass production.
* Experience in MS Excel, Word, and Windows Operating Systems.
* Experience with power management and power monitoring systems.
Preferred Qualifications
* 5+ years of project management in data centres or comparable critical infrastructure experience.
* Knowledge of engineering documentation, electrical diagrams and standard operating procedures.
* Experience in project management in data centres or comparable critical infrastructure.
* Experience in Data Centre Engineering Operations, with a deep understanding of electrical and mechanical data centre infrastructure.
* Experience reading and interpreting construction specifications and drawings for all domains.
