Are you a creative and passionate Visual Arts educator looking to inspire young minds? St Michael's Grammar School is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Visual Arts Teacher to join our vibrant Junior School team on a fixed-term basis to cover a maternity leave position.
In this exciting role, you'll deliver dynamic and engaging art programs to students from Kindergarten to Year 6, helping them explore their creativity and develop their artistic voice in a supportive and stimulating environment.
**What You'll Be Doing**:
- Designing and delivering inspiring Visual Arts lessons across Years K-6
- Collaborating with colleagues to integrate art into broader units of inquiry that develop conceptual and perceptual understanding and skills
- Fostering a positive, inclusive, and creative classroom culture
- Be able to work independently but also part of a dynamic, creative and collaborative team
- Contributing to the life of the School through active participation in programs and events
**What We're Looking For**:
- Tertiary qualifications in teaching (primary) and in their methods
- Have an understanding of the Reggio Emilia Educational Project. This is not essential, but will be highly regarded
- Current registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT)
- Anaphylaxis Management trained
- Level II First Aid Certificate is well regarded
- National Police History Check (Obtained within the last 6 months)
