Diesel Motor Mechanic – Swan Hill VIC Kogan People Solutions, recruiters, are seeking interest from skilled Diesel Motor Mechanics to work as a Diesel Mechanic in a well-regarded bus line, working on a wide range of buses, and at times, other heavy diesel-powered vehicles As a high performing Diesel Mechanic, you will proactively contribute to the a team and help the business preserve its performance standards, and safety record.
You will work autonomously whilst having the support of a strong team environment.
Salary: An attractive salary is negotiable in the range of $75k to $80k, plus superannuation, per annum.
Location: Swan Hill, VIC.
Tenure: Full time and ongoing.
As their new Diesel Motor Mechanic, you will: Perform first rate minor and major repairs to diesel engines buses and other vehicles.
Provide guidance and support to stakeholders within and outside the firm.
Conduct regular preventative maintenance, including inspection, tyre rotation and oil changes.
Maintain parts inventory and cleanliness in the workshop.
Perform regular diagnostic tests.
Maintain accurate records of each repair performed on vehicles.
Under direction, perform Vehicle Safety Inspections, and Annual Safety Inspections.
As required actively contribute to compliance satisfaction, including the Management Information Systems and Maintenance Management System requirements for Accredited Bus Operators.
To be actively considered you can demonstrate the following skills and attributes: You can read and interpret engineering drawings.
Possessing solid references.

Great time management skills.
Excellent communication skills, patience, and empathy.
Highly relevant trade qualifications (minimum Certificate IV or equivalent) with at least 1 years post training professional experience, preferably more, as a diesel mechanic.
You are a logical and analytical thinker with excellent problem-solving skills.
You must have industry knowledge and safe work practices / OH S are essential.
You offer excellent communication skills.
You must have unrestricted full time Australian working rights to be considered.
