The role involves intake/triage, assessment, and crisis management functions within the Mackay Division of Mental Health Acute Care Team. The work schedule includes varied shifts (morning, afternoon, night) across a 7-day week with RDO accrual.The Clinical Nurse provides a competent standard of clinical care through specialist triage, intake, assessment, and short-term crisis care services to individuals experiencing a mental disorder within the Mackay Integrated Mental Health Network.The Clinical Nurse ensures patient recovery-focused, evidence-based care, and coordinates clinical management within a multidisciplinary team within the Division of Mental Health and Alcohol and Other Drugs Service (AODS).About The TeamThe Acute Care Team is the first point of contact for public mental health services 24/7. The team conducts triage and facilitates referrals to appropriate internal or external services, such as community mental health, alcohol and drug services, or primary healthcare.About Our Hospital And Health ServiceMackay Hospital and Health Service comprises 6 hospitals, 2 multi-purpose health services, and 4 community health centres, employing over 3,700 staff.
