Are you passionate about diving and love working on the water? Blue Destiny Boat Charters is seeking a motivated and experienced Divemaster Deck Crew Member to join our team.
This is a hands-on operational role suited to someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced marine environment, supporting a professional crew, and delivering exceptional guest experiences.
The Role
As part of the Blue Destiny deck crew, you will work under the direction of the Skipper and Deck Manager, supporting daily dive charter operations and ensuring every guest experience is safe, organised and enjoyable.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist with dive deck operations with a strong focus on safety, efficiency & friendliness
* Support guest equipment setup, hire gear distribution and deck organisation
* Assist with equipment preparation, consumables and charter requirements
* Follow direction from the Skipper and Deck Manager to maintain operational standards
* Conduct routine safety checks (oxygen systems, AED, regulators, cylinders) as directed
* Assist with maintaining vessel paperwork and compliance documentation
* Participate in safety drills and incident reporting procedures
* Support induction and onboard training of new deck crew as required
* Assist in training Perth Scuba Divemaster candidates during onboard activities
* Support party charters and specialty events
* Capture quality imagery for social media and marketing
Requirements
* Current PADI Divemaster - or equivalent (active member status required)
* Current Coxswain Grade 3 qualification (preferred)
* Strong diving background and confidence working on a busy dive deck
* Ability to take direction and work effectively within a team
* Excellent communication skills
* Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and public holidays
* Physically capable of working in a demanding marine environment
