About the Role
We are seeking motivated individuals to join Goulburn Valley Health as Intensive Care Registrars. We offer twelve-month contracts, extendable upon negotiation. Successful candidates will have opportunities for ICU training and, from the second year onwards, access to external registrar rotations (meeting CICM training requirements) including Anesthesia, Adult Internal Medicine, and Emergency Medicine.
The Intensive Care Registrar will report directly to the attending Critical Care Consultant for daily patient management and ultimately to the Chief Medical Officer. Responsibilities include providing clinical management of patients, undertaking administrative duties, and ensuring departmental efficiency.
Qualifications and Skills
* Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
* Minimum of 3 years postgraduate experience
* Experience in assessment and management of critically ill patients
* Understanding of relevant legislation for Medical Officers
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills
* Commitment to ongoing professional development
* Organizational skills, critical thinking, and ability to operate in change environments
* Motivation, innovative thinking, and teamwork skills
