Create your best future and join Westpac as a Manager, Business Controls and Monitoring - Corporate Services
What's the role?
You'll be the trusted expert who makes sure our Corporate Services risk and control environment is strong, smart, and future-ready. In this role, you'll lead incident verification, manage user-defined applications, and coordinate control self-assessments that keep us on track. You'll review segregation of duties, provide insights that influence big decisions, and help embed a risk culture that's practical and proactive. You'll also play a key part in strategic initiatives like emerging risk forums and divisional risk assessments. This is a full-time role based in Sydney, Melbourne or Adelaide, with flexibility to support your work-life balance. If you're passionate about governance, risk, and making things better every day, this is your chance to make an impact.
What do I need?
To thrive in this role, you'll need to bring a mix of sharp thinking, practical know-how, and the confidence to lead conversations about risk and controls. You're someone who can see the big picture while sweating the details, and you're not afraid to challenge the status quo when it means better outcomes. Here's what will help you succeed:
* Strong understanding of risk frameworks and governance processes in financial services.
* Ability to analyse data, spot trends, and turn insights into action.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to be able to work across multiple teams.
* A proactive mindset with the confidence to challenge and improve existing processes.
Organisational skills to manage competing priorities in a fast-changing environment.
