About ARRC Gold Coast
ARRC Gold Coast is a dynamic and innovative resource recovery and circular economy company owned by the City of Gold Coast.
It is the powerhouse behind the Advanced Resource Recovery Centre (ARRC), a $1.6 billion state-of-the-art integrated recycling and energy precinct.
The ARRC will boost recycling capabilities, enhance remanufacturing and resource recovery, and generate energy from residual waste.
Ultimately, it will divert up to 97% of waste from landfills, providing a sustainable waste management solution for the Gold Coast and South-east Queensland.

The Opportunity
We’re on the hunt for an accomplished executive leader to steer the strategic and operational direction of ARRC Gold Coast’s asset portfolio. In this pivotal role, you will provide strategic leadership and full operational oversight of our asset portfolio, overseeing facility operations, maintenance, engineering services, and contractor performance. Your focus will be ensuring all assets operate safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with regulatory and contractual obligations.
With end-to-end accountability for the commercial and operational performance of all facilities, you’ll optimise asset capacity, enable service expansion, and maximise value for shareholders. Collaborating closely with other executive leaders, you will align asset management with the organisation’s broader growth, market development, and innovation strategies.

Your Key Responsibilities – Make Your Mark
Operational Leadership - Take full accountability for the operational performance of all ARRC assets, ensuring optimisation of safety standards, maximising asset availability, and extending lifecycle value to support sustainable operations.
High Performance Leadership - Lead and inspire integrated multidisciplinary teams across engineering, maintenance, and contractor management, fostering collaboration and operational excellence.
Safety and Compliance - Champion a proactive safety-first culture by ensuring strict adherence to all regulatory, health, safety, and environmental standards and organisational policies.
Strategic Asset Management - Develop, implement, and monitor strategic asset management plans, managing budgets effectively to achieve commercial and operational targets.
Contract and Commercial Oversight - Oversee the management of high-value contracts, driving contractor accountability, managing risks, and ensuring value-for-money outcomes.
Stakeholder Engagement - Build and maintain productive partnerships across government agencies, industry bodies, and innovation networks to support ARRC’s strategic objectives.
Technology and Infrastructure Integration - Lead the seamless introduction and integration of new technologies and infrastructure within existing operations to enhance efficiency and innovation.
Continuous Improvement and Sustainability - Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on optimising operational processes and supporting ARRC’s long-term sustainability goals.
What We’re Looking For
We are seeking a strategic and experienced leader with a strong track record in operational excellence, asset management, and team leadership. You will bring a depth of experience in managing complex infrastructure, driving performance, and leading with integrity in a high-paced, values-driven environment.
Qualifications and Experience
· A recognised qualification in Engineering, Asset Management, Work Health & Safety (WHS), Business, or a related discipline.
· A minimum of 10 years’ experience in senior leadership roles across asset operations, engineering, or maintenance, preferably within regulated or infrastructure-intensive sectors.
· Proven success in managing complex, high-value asset portfolios, with a focus on performance optimisation, regulatory compliance, and strategic alignment.
· Demonstrated capability in contract negotiation, commercial oversight, compliance management, and lifecycle planning.
· A collaborative and empowering leadership approach, with a track record of motivating multidisciplinary teams to achieve high-performance outcomes.
