Healthy and Sustainable Food Systems Researcher Deakin University
Deakin University\'s School of Medicine is seeking a part-time Associate Research Fellow to join our VicHealth-funded project.
This role focuses on co-designing a healthier, more equitable, and sustainable rural fruit and vegetable distribution system in the Loddon-Campaspe region.
You\'ll assess its health, equity, environmental sustainability, and economic impacts, and help design improvements.
What you\'ll do
Conduct high-quality research, generating high-impact outputs.
Author publications and present findings.
Engage in onsite fieldwork in the Loddon-Campaspe region.
Ensure academic activity has a strong impact on the field and community.
Who we\'re looking for
We seek an individual with emerging research and scholarship through publications.
A PhD is desired but not required if you have other relevant qualifications and experience.
You will also have:
Excellent interpersonal skills for building relationships.
A strong passion for food, policy, community, and social justice.
Location: Flexible – Melbourne (Burwood Campus) with hybrid work + regional fieldwork.
