The Team

* The LGH cardiology team encompasses the CCU, Cath Lab, non‑invasive cardiology, CIED management, and cardiac rehabilitation.
* Our team consists of a diverse group of nurses, technicians, administrative staff, medical professionals, and allied health experts, all collaborating within a dynamic healthcare environment.
* Our integrated services focus on delivering exceptional healthcare, ultimately enhancing outcomes for our patients, our workforce, and the community.


The Role

* Perform echocardiograms under general professional guidance, in accordance with the imaging protocols of the Australian Society for Ultrasound in Medicine (ASUM) and Cardiac Society.
* Support the reporting cardiologist by providing provisional echocardiogram reports where possible, organising digital materials for review, typing up the final corrected version and distributing reports as required.
* Assess the medical request/referral and ensure correct protocols are followed.

Details of appointment

* Permanent, full‑time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as you can join us.
* Notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full‑time, part‑time, and casual vacancies.


Salary

$73,834 to $111,364 per annum. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

* Salary range is in accordance with Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022.


Salary Packaging

You'll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.


Allowances

* Professional Development Allowance of up to $1,000 per annum.

* Travel and relocation assistance support available up to $15,000 for eligible appointees from overseas, and up to $10,000 for appointees from interstate.

Eligibility

* Eligible for registration with the Australian Sonographer Accreditation Registry (ASAR).
* Tertiary qualification/program of study approved by the Australian Sonographer Accreditation Registry.

Applicants should note the following criteria are desirable:

* Post Graduate Diploma in Ultrasound.
* Eligible for ordinary membership of the Australian Society for Ultrasound in Medicine.
