* $118,141 to $132,962 pro rata (Dep on skills + exp.) + 12% Superannuation
About The Role
The Community Development branch champions a community development approach across the organisation, creating the conditions for empowered, engaged, resilient and inclusive communities. We work with and for community through place-based initiatives that deepen our understanding of the strengths, needs and priorities of Melbourne's diverse neighbourhoods.
The
Community Engagement Practice Lead
will play a pivotal role in embedding best practice engagement across the City of Melbourne. You'll lead the implementation of the Community Engagement Policy, partnering closely with teams across the organisation to ensure engagement is strategic, evidence-based and aligned with community needs.
A Little More About The Role
* Lead the integration and alignment of face-to-face and digital engagement approaches to ensure inclusive, flexible and accessible participation.
* Support best practice deliberative, participatory budgeting and representative engagement processes.
* Partner with the Project Management Office to align engagement and project processes.
* Prepare high-quality briefs, reports and recommendations in your area of expertise.
* Build strong internal and external relationships, including working with multidisciplinary teams across the organisation.

What Your Experience Might Look Like Key Selection Criteria
* Tertiary qualifications and/or demonstrated experience in community development, engagement, public sector or similar disciplines.
* Demonstrated experience applying community engagement or community development principles, methods and best practice.
* Experience working with diverse communities, including CALD communities, First Nations peoples, young people, LGBTIQ+ communities and people with disability.
* High-level project management experience within complex and evolving environments.
* Excellent communication, facilitation and interpersonal skills with the ability to challenge, influence and support others.
