We are seeking a Deskside Support Technician to join our team in Newcastle. This is a full-time, mid-level position requiring a minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing efficient technical support, focusing on a wide range of IT services and solutions.
Minimum Requirements
Minimum of 4 years experience in IT support, highlighting expertise in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues effectively.
Proficiency in desktop support (Mandatory skill).
Strong troubleshooting skills for Windows OS and Mac OS.
Experience with Active Directory management and Office 365 administration.
Knowledge of VPN configuration, data centre device management, and mobile device management.
Ability to manage collaboration services and VIP user support.
Roles and Responsibilities
Provide deskside support, including troubleshooting, installations, and guidance.
Manage end-user tickets and IT asset inventories.
Coordinate with vendors for procurement and repairs.
Develop IT support procedures and assist in user onboarding and training.
Support data centre operations and perform software installations and configurations.
Ensure compliance with security policies and manage data backup and restore processes.
