We are delivering some of Australia's most significant energy infrastructure projects, shaping how renewable generation connects to the grid and how the network evolves for the future.
From the 480MWh Summerfield BESS connection and Hydrogen Jobs Plan (275kV) in South Australia, to the 2.8GWh Eraring BESS and 500kV Goulburn River Solar Farm connection in New South Wales, our work sits at the centre of the energy transition.
We are trusted delivery partners to Australia's leading energy providers, working closely with AGL, Origin and EnergyAustralia on utility-scale battery and transmission infrastructure projects. This provides our engineers with exposure to complex, large-scale work and the opportunity to contribute directly to projects shaping Australia's future grid.
With national panel agreements in place with Transgrid and as the maintenance and service provider for ElectraNet, we are continuing to expand our transmission capability across Australia.
We are now seeking a Principal Transmission Lines Engineer to play a key role in this growth: leading the design and delivery of complex high-voltage transmission infrastructure and shaping the capability of our engineering function.
This is a role where you will operate at multiple levels, delivering technically robust designs, influencing project outcomes, and mentoring the next generation of engineers within a collaborative, high-performing team.
Day to day you will:
* Lead the design and delivery of overhead transmission line projects across regulated and renewable infrastructure
* Provide technical leadership and act as a subject matter expert across transmission line engineering
* Oversee route selection, structure spotting and advanced PLS-CADD modelling
* Drive engineering outcomes across structure and foundation design, including lattice towers, poles and H-frame systems
* Support constructability and delivery through construction engineering, load assessments and site engagement
* Engage directly with clients and stakeholders, contributing to project success from concept through to delivery
* Mentor and develop engineers, building capability across the team
* Contribute to bidding, estimating and project strategy for major infrastructure opportunities
About you
You are an experienced transmission engineer who enjoys solving complex engineering challenges and influencing outcomes across both design and delivery.
You bring a balance of technical expertise, practical engineering judgement and the ability to work collaboratively with clients, project teams and stakeholders.
You will have:
* ~10+ years' experience in transmission line engineering (design and/or delivery)
* Strong capability in overhead line design, including PLS-CADD, PLS-Pole and PLS-Tower
* Experience across route selection, structure design and construction support
* Understanding of transmission design, construction and maintenance practices
* Ability to contribute across the full project lifecycle from concept through to delivery
* Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
* Degree in Civil, Structural or Mechanical Engineering (CPEng or working towards is desirable)
* Work on nationally significant transmission and renewable energy projects
