The Role
Coastal Lakes College is seeking to appoint a dedicated, highly competent and enthusiastic English teacher to join our dynamic, dedicated and supportive English Team. The successful applicant will be committed to promoting and fostering student engagement and academic achievement in a supportive environment where success is celebrated.
In this role, the successful applicant should develop innovative classroom practices in alignment with our College’s Teaching, Learning and Assessment Framework. The successful applicant will be able to building positive working relationships with students and staff as well as promote and foster student engagement and academic achievement in a supportive environment.
Applicants should possess the professional knowledge, understandings, and experience to implement an engaging and relevant secondary school English curriculum, which includes outstanding co-curricular initiatives that the English team deliver that maximise student engagement in English. The successful applicant will have the knowledge and skills across lower school and senior-school English. The interest and capacity to teach ATAR and General English is highly desirable.
As a passionate English teacher practitioner you should have commitment to regualr self-reflective Another key attribute is the ability to create positive learning environments conducive to learning and ensuring educational opportunities provided are purposeful and relevant to help ensure they meet needs.. The College has an embedded culture of professional growth and development, supported by Instructional Coaching across the College to support peer collaboration, support and a culture of ongoing improvement.
The College also has programs for aspirant Level 3 classroom teachers and identied Aspirant Leaders.
The College has a strong Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM) focus, working in a collaborative partnership with local primary schools, industry and tertiary education. The successful applicant should demonstrate the ability to develop innovative classroom practices utilising the College’s cutting edge IT infrastructure and embedded twenty-first Century Skills within their teaching and learning

* consent to and obtain a National Criminal History Check with the Department's Screening Unit.
