Pluto Train 2 is the expansion of a second LNG train at the existing Pluto LNG onshore facility near Karratha in Western Australia, run by Woodside Energy. This project is part of Woodside’s initiative to meet the increasing global demand for LNG as a transitional energy source.
Job Summary
Lead a team and supervise superintendents and/or craft professionals on a project. Direct craft professional activities and work schedules, coordinate subcontract activities and develop the team. Ensure that craft professionals have the tools required to be productive, comply with project policies, procedures, and job site work rules and procedures, and perform within specifications, schedules and budgets.
Major Responsibilities
* Leadership / Supervision: Discipline supervision of superintendents supporting 50 to 100 craft or responsible for area/facility.
* Supervises and directs craft activities, subordinate superintendents, and others as assigned.
* Schedules work and reviews work accomplished by each craft.
* Determine workforce requirements.
* Coordinate established area operational plans.
* Oversee tool and equipment usage on the site.
* Manage preparation of field material requisitions for tools and consumables.
* Ensure current design documents are used and approved prior to implementation.
* Ensure construction operations and subcontractors comply with specifications, schedules, and budgets.
* Work with Construction Field Engineers, Foremen, and Craft Professionals in interpreting engineering design documents.
* Manage engineering solutions with subcontractors, foremen and craft professionals.
Education and Experience Requirements
* Bachelor’s degree (or international equivalent) and 10-13 years of relevant experience, or 14-17 years of relevant work experience.
Required Knowledge and Skills
* Experience in large scale LNG or similar construction projects.
* Experience with instrumentation installation & completion including loop checks.
* Experience supervising and administering subcontractors and/or direct hire craft professional workforce.
* Experience in cable pulling, terminations and hazardous areas preferred.
* Good knowledge of relevant Australian standards.
Working rights in Australia without employer sponsorship are required.
Additional Information: The position involves exposure to changing environmental, construction, and operational conditions, including extensive walking, climbing ladders, working at heights from work platforms including scaffolding and MEWPs, use of personal fall arrest equipment, working in uneven surfaces, confined spaces, variable work shifts, and inclement weather. Some lifting may be required. Candidates must be able to use standard issued PPE required for each assigned task.
