About the Role
The Sales Activation Representative drives sales growth and brand execution across key domestic Foodservice/Wholesale channels, including Restaurant/Hotels, wet fish shops, sushi, MSO, and independent retail customers.
Brisbane based, and reporting to the Business Development Manager QLD., the role implements sales activities and brand programs, including product distribution drives in end users, product demonstrations and Trade show presentations, with a focus on strengthening customer relationships to achieve revenue, volume, and brand performance objectives while contributing to the BDM's account management and growth strategy.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 2 years' sales experience, ideally within the aquaculture, foodservice, or FMCG sector. The role will suit an energetic Sales Representative with a passion for seafood who can work autonomously, and as part of Yumbah's national sales group.
Key Responsibilities
* Promote and sell Yumbah's premium range of abalone, oysters, mussels and kingfish with a key focus on large food service accounts, restaurant groups and wholesalers in Brisbane and the Gold Coast.
* Work closely with the broader Sales and Marketing team to understand the sales strategy and drive growth through local distributors and direct-to-market channels.
* Identify and convert new customer opportunities, increasing distribution and product range across foodservice, retail and sushi channels.
* Represent the Yumbah brand and coordinate the Retail Sampling Program, including product presentations, training, demonstrations and supervising Product Demonstrators.
* Execute sales and marketing plans, providing market insights, competitor feedback, and contributing to demand planning and forecasting.
* Support key customer relationships and assist in account plans as required by the BDM.
* Provide accurate reporting on sales activity, market trends, and new business opportunities.
* Adhere to WH&S policies and procedures.
Knowledge/Experience
* Minimum two years' sales experience with strong customer engagement, and relationship building skills.
* Knowledge of foodservice, wholesale or FMCG sectors, experience in aquaculture or premium foods preferred.
* Proven ability and passion for generating new business opportunities.
* Excellent time management, planning, and organisation skills.
* Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
* Competent in Excel and Power Point.
* Solid fiscal numeracy and reporting skills.
