Hays are proud to be partnered with this global organisation that have made their mark within the retail industry. They are seeking a self-motivated Shipping Administrator to assist them with importing a range of products from overseas and the distribution throughout Australia.
Your new role
As the Shipping Administrator for this company, you will be responsible for;
- Overall responsibility for timely booking management of shipments.
- Close liaison will be required with the relevant Purchasing Assistant, Buyer or Merchandise Manager.
- Overall responsibility for ensuring that documents are collected in a timely manner, are accurate, and processed accordingly.
- Ensuring all parties are updated with changes.
- Overall responsibility for data integrity within internal systems at all times.
- Ensure all updates are reflected across all systems.
- Provide system reports to team members as required Data Entry is performed with a very high level of accuracy
Accountability for process management:
- Locally - ensuring that purchasing team members provide you with clear instruction as to the approval of purchase orders before becoming shipments.
- Outside - working with third parties such as Freight Forwarders and suppliers to ensure they are also working to standards as in place through existing SOP's, and that where issues occur, situations are escalated though appropriate channels.
- Ensuring current process and systems are fit for purpose and continually improved.
- Take responsibility for data administration, system integrity and shipment processes within the business area and work within the appropriate forums to ensure that the wider needs of the business are met.
