About the Role
As a Tenancy Officer, you will manage a portfolio of residential properties, ensuring high-quality tenancy management and excellent customer service. You will play a key role in maintaining sustainable tenancies, coordinating property inspections and maintenance, and supporting tenants to achieve stability and independence.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage a portfolio of residential properties within Alliance Housing's programs.
* Act as the primary point of contact for tenants, providing information, advice, and support.
* Undertake tenancy sign-ups, renewals, and terminations in line with legislation and policy.
* Conduct routine, entry, and final property inspections and complete detailed reports.
* Respond promptly to maintenance requests and liaise with contractors to ensure timely repairs.
* Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with organisational and regulatory requirements.
* Manage tenant arrears and breaches of tenancy agreements professionally and sensitively.
* Work collaboratively with support agencies and community partners to promote positive tenant outcomes.
* Represent Alliance Housing (WA) positively within the community and uphold our values of respect, integrity, and compassion.
About You
We are looking for a professional who is organised, empathetic, and solutions-focused, with a genuine commitment to supporting people in need of secure housing.
Essential Skills and Experience:
* Experience in tenancy or property management, social housing, or community services.
* Knowledge of the Residential Tenancies Act 1987 (WA) and related legislation (or willingness to learn).
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with a diverse range of tenants and stakeholders.
* Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
* Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and meet deadlines.
* Empathy, resilience, and a client-centred approach to service delivery.
