Overview
Pentland State School is a warm, rural school located 250km west of Townsville on the Flinders Highway. As part of the Dalrymple Alliance of small schools, we embrace the benefits of multi-age learning and close-knit community connections, working together to achieve the best outcomes for our students.
We deliver the Australian Curriculum and QCAR framework, with Japanese offered in Years 5-6. Our in office, approved Kindergarten operates five days a fortnight, providing a rich, play-based program under the Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guideline and Foundations for Success, supporting strong transitions from Kindy through to Prep.
Pentland is more than a school - it's the heart of our community. Our dedicated staff work closely with parents and locals, with our facilities hosting many community events. Here, relationships matter, and every child is known, valued, and supported to thrive.
