Job Description We are looking for a dynamic, safety focused and strategic leader to take on the role of General Manager – Maintenance and Engineering to be based in Altona. This is an exciting opportunity to oversea the planning, execution and continuous improvement of maintenance and engineering operations across our national rail division. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer for our Rail Division, the position includes the following responsibilities: Lead, inspire and develop a multidisciplinary team of engineers, technicians, and maintenance staff. Drive a strong safety-first culture across all maintenance and engineering operations. Oversee strategic and operational planning for maintenance and engineering. Ensure compliance with OH&S legislation, rail safety standards, and regulatory requirements. Provide technical direction on engineering projects and continuous improvement initiatives. Monitor budgets, resource allocation, and performance metrics to support operational targets. Build strong relationships with stakeholders, vendors, and regulatory bodies.
