Medical Advisor/Claims Manager
About the Role:
The Medical Adviser is responsible for providing medical expertise to inform business decisions within the Claims Department.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver high-quality medical advice and expert opinion to support the Claims Department and legal team.
* Promote ongoing education and awareness among members, staff, and external stakeholders through various business units.
* Contribute to special projects and initiatives as required.
Requirements:
To be successful, you will possess:
* A medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) and specialist qualification.
* Post-graduate qualification in medicine, law, or insurance is preferred.
* Thorough knowledge of the medical industry and the medical indemnity legal framework.
* Clinical experience of more than 10 years is highly desirable.
* Experience in insurance and claims handling is ideal.
* Familiarity with the legal system is also beneficial.
* Exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
* Excellent communication and advocacy skills.
