With Mercy, you'll have the chance to make an impact and gain experience that's hard to find elsewhere.At Mercy Health, it's all about taking what we have and making it better.To do that, we need you.Join us at Mercy Health, and help our teams deliver even greater outcomes.About the opportunityThis permanent part-time position, provides quality, safe, person-centred physiotherapy clinical care to the allocated caseload largely in the WMH Emergency Department and Short Stay Unit, ensuring a holistic and multidisciplinary team approach.Grade 2 part-time (0.6EFT) permanent role (required to work largely Sunday, Monday and Wednesdays and assist with Public holidays as required)Provides quality, evidence based, person-centred, physiotherapy clinical care predominantly to ED and the EDSSU (secondary contact) and acute wards as needed, as part of our acute team and on a rotating roster including regular weekend and public holiday shiftsEnsures a holistic multidisciplinary approach to patients and their carersIntegral to providing responsive, flexible physiotherapy care to improve timely and effective care, patient flow and discharge and subsequently improve patient experience.What you'll bringYou're resilient, compassionate and have a whole lot of heart. Most importantly, you are committed to delivering exceptional patient-centred care.To thrive in this role, you will have:Recognised Degree in Physiotherapy, full current and unlimited AHPRA physiotherapy registration and current Victorian (or equivalent) Driver's LicenseBroad and relevant clinical physiotherapy skills and experience in an acute hospital setting. Experience in ED and EDSSU setting highly desirableExcellent clinical, time management, organisational and communication skills, with the ability to adapt, problem solve and prioritise completing tasks in a timely manner within a complex fast paced work settingWillingness to assist with weekend and public holiday rostersA compassionate, flexible and positive approach to effective patient care and management.The ability to nurture friendly, respectful relationships and contribute to a collaborative team environment.You will also be required to provide evidence of, or in the process of obtaining:A current Police Record Check and Working with Children Check.Proof of current influenza vaccination and other vaccination status consistent with public health orders.Ready to help us shape the future of healthcare?Join us and make a meaningful difference in people's lives - and your career.Are you ready to apply for this role?
