Our client - A leading underground gold operation is seeking an experienced Senior Mining Engineer to join its site-based Technical Services team.
This is a residential or FIFO role on a balanced roster (5:2 / 4:3) or 8/6, focused on delivering safe, practical, value-driven underground plans in close partnership with operations.
Key responsibilities
* Develop and optimise underground mine designs and schedules
* Deliver a robust medium-term plan that aligns short-term execution with long-term strategy
* Run trade-off studies, optimisation and scenario analysis to maximise value
* Support budgeting, forecasting and reserve updates
* Ensure compliance with statutory, safety and company standards
What you'll bring
* 7+ years post-grad underground mining engineering experience, with strong planning capability
* Advanced skills in Deswik CAD / Deswik Sched (or similar)
* Strong understanding of UG mining methods, sequencing, geotech constraints, ventilation and services
* Mining Engineering degree (or equivalent) and a current WA C Class licence
