Come join Prevention Strategy Branch as an Assistant Director where you will provide strategic leadership for the development, coordination, implementation and evaluation of complex preventive health policy and strategy to improve the health and wellbeing of Queenslanders.
Your key responsibilities:
* Provide high-level expertise in the application of evidence, theory and judgement in planning, implementing and evaluating preventive health policy and interventions in a range of settings.
* Provide high-level authoritative advice to senior management, partners, and other stakeholders, including members of the public, to influence strategic policy and delivery of complex and/or innovative preventive health interventions.
* Facilitate the development of reforms to position Queensland Health to more effectively respond to the increasing burden of chronic disease, for consideration by the Queensland Government.

* Demonstrated ability to apply specialised level of knowledge, analysis, expertise and skills to the development of systemic and effective solutions to complex preventive health policy challenges.
