About the role
Sovereign Park Motor Inn is seeking a talented and experienced Motel Maintenance Person to join our team in Ballarat. As a full-time role, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing our motel facilities to the highest standards, ensuring our guests enjoy a comfortable and well-maintained environment during their stay.
This position is ideal for an ex-tradesperson or someone with strong practical maintenance experience who enjoys variety and takes pride in their work.
Hours:
* Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 4:30pm
* Some Saturday mornings as required
Key Responsibilities
* General maintenance and repairs across motel rooms, conference rooms, indoor pool and recreation centre and grounds, including gardens and landscapes
* Painting, patching, basic carpentry, plumbing and electrical troubleshooting
* Preventative maintenance and regular property inspections
* Responding to maintenance requests efficiently and professionally
* Providing friendly assistance to guests when required
About You
* Trade background or strong all-round maintenance experience
* Practical, proactive and able to work independently
* High attention to detail and pride in presentation
* Good communication skills and a customer-focused approach
* Reliable, punctual and well organised
* Current driver's licence
