Job Description About the role:If you're looking for variety in your workday, this role offers a dynamic, hands-on environment where no two days are the same.As a Mechanical Tradesperson at Port Waratah, you'll be part of a skilled and supportive team responsible for both preventative and breakdown maintenance-helping to ensure plant reliability and drive continuous improvement. All work is carried out with a commitment tohealth, safety, and environmental responsibility.Your responsibilities will include:Performing scheduled and reactive maintenance on fixed mechanical plant and equipmentInspecting, diagnosing faults, completing repairs, and installing upgrades on equipment involving hydraulics, pneumatics, drives, and conveyor systemsCollaborating with fellow tradespeople, maintenance, and operations teams to minimise downtime and maintain safe, efficient operationsOur tradespersons rotate between rosters including:Daywork:10-hour shifts, 4 days per week (Monday to Friday)Shiftwork:7-day continuous rotating roster (2 days, 2 nights, 4 days off)Part-time or job share arrangements can also be considered.
