We are seeking an experienced Development Engineer to join our team and play a key role in supporting the growth and development of our City.
The successful applicant will provide high-quality engineering advice, design assessment, approvals, and inspection services to ensure engineering outcomes meet the Tasmanian Planning Scheme, Council policies, Australian Standards, and the long-term needs of the community.
This role involves assessing and advising on development proposals to ensure they meet all relevant engineering requirements. You will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to deliver quality planning outcomes and contribute to community projects.
To be successful in this role, you will need a degree in Civil Engineering, experience in a development engineering role, and knowledge of engineering codes, standards, and construction practices relating to road and stormwater assets.
You will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
