We are in the business ofpeople looking after people.At RAAFA, we understand that every employee is different, andsustaining a work-related injury can be daunting and stressful.That is why we have a well-established early interventionprogramme, led by our Injury Prevention and Management Advisor,to support our team should an injury occur.We have a rare opportunity for an experienced Injury Preventionand Management Advisor to join the RAAFA team on a permanentbasis, working collaboratively with others to deliver the bestcare and recovery options to injured employees. Supporting ourmanagers and employees, this fast-paced role will have aregular presence out on location and will work closely with ourteams to provide consultation and support in both theprevention and management of work-related injuries.You will be based from RAAFA's Central Support Office inSouth Perth with the requirement to travel to sites within theMetro area.About the role:Injury prevention - Provision of consultation, adviceand education strategies for the prevention of musculoskeletalinjuries including coordination of the manual tasks program,workstation assessments, ergonomic advice and riskassessmentsDelivery of education and training to staff andmanagersEarly Intervention - Provision of effective earlyintervention support strategies to staff to achieve the bestpossible outcome following an injuryInjury Management - work closely with managers andstaff to ensure effective vocational rehabilitation &return to work programsFacilitate the use of suitably sourced external alliedhealth providers in a proactive capacity, supporting employeesacross RAAFA to remain healthy and wellWorkers' Compensation and Claims Management -Day to day claims management, including liaising with all keystakeholders such as treating parties, insurers, and externalproviders to facilitate early return to workKey RequirementsTertiary qualification in Physiotherapy, Allied Health,Nursing or related fieldExperience in WHS and/or Injury Management practicesWell-developed communication and interpersonal skills withan ability to build and maintain effective workingrelationshipsAbility to communicate effectively to influence positiveoutcomes with managers, staff and other key stakeholdersDemonstrated ability to work autonomouslyExcellent presentation skills and demonstrated experiencein delivering manual handling trainingExcellent organisational skills including high attention todetailBenefits of working with RAAFA:Competitive salary and salary packaging optionsLocation - South Perth (with Metro travelrequirements)Fully maintained vehicle / or vehicle allowanceFreeonsite parkingBe part of asupportiveteamandmanagement,withanamazing culture!If you think that RAAFA and this position is right for you, andyou can demonstrate that you have the skills and experiencerequired,here's what you need todo:Write an introduction letter and update your resumeBe eligible to work in AustraliaHold a Satisfactory National Police Certificate (oncommencement of employment to be within six months from date ofissue) or able to obtainBe up to date with your covid and flu vaccinationsHold a current drivers' licenceClick "Apply to this Job"For more information, please call us on or RAAFA WA reserves the right to withdraw, shortlist andinterview applicants prior to this date.
