Bathurst Regional Council is seeking an Early Childhood Educator - Room Leader within the Children's Services section. The successful applicant will be experienced, self-motivated and passionate about the education and care of young children. 
Location: Bathurst, New South Wales 
Role and Terms 
The Room Leader is responsible for room management, including children, program, safety and environment in consultation with the Child Care Coordinator. It is a full-time maximum term position. 
The successful applicant will have qualifications and experience in the early childhood industry as well as experience in the development and delivery of early childhood programs and practices. The position will lead a team of professionals responsible for child health and safety, education and planning and enriching children's lives through play-based learning. 
Key Requirements 
ACECQA approved early childhood diploma qualification, or equivalent. 
A working knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework and ability to develop and implement a high-quality educational program. 
A working knowledge of the National Quality Standards, Education and Care Regulations and National Law. 
Experience in a similar role in an Education and Care setting. 
Experience in providing a quality educational program for children aged 0 to 5 years. 
The ability to work cooperatively and flexibly within a team environment. 
Experience in guiding and leading a small team. 
Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills. 
Current approved First Aid, Emergency Asthma Management and Anaphylaxis Management training. 
Completion of an approved child protection training unit/course - CHCPRT001 or CHCPRT025. 
Ability to take on the Role of Responsible Person when required. 
Able to comply with the requirements of the Child Protection (Working with Children) Regulation 2013 through the provision of a Working with Children Check clearance. 
This position requires a pre-employment health assessment which includes a functional, audio and drug & alcohol screen. 
Salary and Hours 
Salary: 
$1,190.10 to $1,250.24 per week, dependant on skills, qualifications and experience + Super. 
Hours of work: 
38 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8.00am to 6.00pm with a rostered day off every 4 weeks.
