Overview

Community Engagement Coordinator (Community Capacity Builder) at Feros Care. We are a not-for-profit organisation focused on helping people live healthier, happier, better-connected lives.

Base pay range: A$82,882.00/yr - A$89,021.00/yr. This range is provided by Feros Care. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.

What you'll do
* Work alongside community members, local organisations and people with disability and their families to co-design and deliver projects and initiatives that build inclusion and participation in everyday community life, aligned with the NDIA\'s ILC Policy Framework, Partners in the Community obligations and local priorities.
* Build strong partnerships with local organisations and government agencies, diverse community groups and services to identify needs or gaps, reduce barriers and build sustainable inclusion practices.
* Record community mapping to identify and record service gaps, opportunities and partnerships.
* Plan, monitor and evaluate initiatives and projects, ensuring they align with local needs and deliver clear and measurable outcomes.
* Facilitate activities and events that create long-term positive change.
* Engage with people with lived experience and priority groups such as First Nations, CALD, LGBTIQA+ and rural/remote communities.
* Collect feedback, track and report on outcomes and impact, ensuring compliance with Feros Care and NDIA systems and frameworks.
* Support Local Area Coordinators (LACs) to embed community capacity building in their daily work.
What you'll bring
* Experience in community development or project coordination, with measurable outcomes.
* A high level of understanding of inclusive practice and stakeholder engagement.
* Strong partnership-building and collaboration skills with experience in genuine co-design with individuals with a disability.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Proven organisational and self-management skills, with the ability to work independently in community-based settings across the region.
* Ability to monitor, evaluate and measure results/outcomes.
* Experience in organising or managing community events.
* A commitment to equity, inclusion and accessibility.
* Knowledge of the NDIS and ILC policy framework and the ways local communities can support people with disability to live full lives.
* Strong demonstration of computer literacy, including use of Microsoft Suite.
Qualifications & Checks
* Tertiary qualification in community development, social work, or related field (desirable).
* Access to reliable transport to support outreach in the community.
* NDIS Workers Screening Check & Working with Children\'s Check (or willingness to obtain).
* Undergo an NDIA Security Clearance.
* Undergo a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check.
* Valid Australian Working Rights.
* Lived experience of disability is highly valued.
