PBE Rutherford Mining is a leading provider of safety and productivity solutions to the global mining and tunnelling industries. It is an established international business with regional sales/service companies in Australia, Canada, United Kingdom, and South Africa, and a global network of distributors.

As part of our continued expansion, we're looking for a skilled Accounts Officer to join our Finance Team.

This role plays a key role in supporting the financial operations of PBE Rutherford Mining by managing both accounts payable and accounts receivable processes. Our Accounts Officer will ensure accurate and timely processing of financial transactions, maintain vendor and customer relationships, and contribute to the overall efficiency and integrity of the finance department.

In this role your responsibilities will include:

Accounts Payable

* Process supplier invoices and ensure timely payments in accordance with PBE polices.
* Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies.
* Maintain accurate records of all accounts payable transactions.
* Assist with month-end closing and reporting related payables.
* Liaise with internal departments to verify and approve purchase orders and invoices.

Accounts Receivable

* Generate and issue customer invoices in a timely manner.
* Monitor customer accounts for overdue payments and follow up accordingly.
* Reconcile account receivable ledger to ensure all payments are accounted for and properly posted.
* Prepare regular aging report and escalate collection issues as needed.
* Maintain strong relationships with customers to ensure prompt payment and resolve queries.
* Maintain and adapt customer credit limits in line with company policy and risk assessments.

General Finance Support

* Assist with bank reconciliations and cashflow reporting.
* Process and reconcile intercompany and intracompany balances across accounts receivable and accounts payable in accordance with company policies and deadlines.
* Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation.
* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the finance team.
* Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures and relevant legislation.

Our ideal candidate will have:

* Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role, preferably within the mining or industrial sector
* Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
* Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.
* Excellent attention to details and time management skills.
* Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and awareness of safety protocols
* Good communications skills, both verbal & written

This is a permanent full-time role, based at our facility in Tomago, NSW.
