We are seeking a skilled and professional Medical Secretary to join our dynamic team in the Cardiothoracic Surgical Unit.

This key support role involves providing comprehensive medical secretarial services, ensuring smooth operations within the unit. The ideal candidate will possess strong attention to detail and organisational skills, with excellent literacy and computer literacy skills.

Key Responsibilities:

\
\
* Provide confidential medical secretarial services to clinical staff.
\
* Maintain accurate medical records and assist with patient care.
\
* Support the overall administration of the hospital.
\
\


Requirements:

\
\
* Excellent literacy and computer literacy skills.
\
* Ability to type 50-60 wpm accurately and transcribe from Dictaphone.
\
* Strong communication skills, engaging effectively with the public, colleagues, and all levels of staff.
\
* A proactive, independent work ethic, demonstrating initiative and organisational skills.
\
\


Desirable Qualifications:

\
\
* Previous experience in general office and secretarial procedures.
\
* Knowledge of hospital policies and interdepartmental operations.
\
