Job Description
About the Role:
As a key member of our clinical team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to guests at our healing centre. This requires thorough knowledge of primary and secondary care within the scope of BCCNM.
* Patient mental health and medical assessment and treatment, including medication review
* Triage acute concerns and provide anticipatory guidance as needed
* Develop, assess, implement and evaluate care plans for all consultations
* Provide quality, safe and compassionate care to all guests
* Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members
* Follow up on medical collateral if necessary
* Dose, administer and monitor ketamine treatments (training provided)
* Order, store and log ketamine according to Schedule I Controlled Drugs and Substance Act of Canada
* Provide informed consent to clients receiving treatment
* Monitor clients, including vital sign checks and managing side effects
* Maintain guest files and confidentiality
* Participate in ongoing training and continuing education initiatives
* Participate in weekly meetings
* Contribute to company projects during clinic downtime
* Onboard new team members
Required Skills and Qualifications
* NP Certification and License in good standing
* Active registration and practice permit with British Columbia College of Nurses & Midwives
* Current Basic Life Support - Healthcare Provider (BCLS-HCP)
* Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
* Therapsil training is an asset
* Clinical experience in semi-independent practice roles for mental health and chronic pain care
* Strong knowledge of current guidelines, standards of practice and medical directives
* Proactive and preventative approaches to care
* Administrative and computer skills (EMR, Microsoft Office and Google Workplace)
* Interpersonal and organizational skills
* Guest-centred and trauma-informed approach to care
* Passion for learning
* Authentic presence, intuitive sensitivity and respect for diverse life trajectories
* Comfortable adapting to new environments and evolving processes
* Lived and/or integrated experiences informing deeper understanding of treatment
