About the opportunity
We are recruiting for a number of casual support workers in the Blue Mountains/Kotoomba area in NSW.
In this role you will be providing a wide range of tasks to aid customers in maintaining their independence and dignity including:
* Assistance with domestic tasks such as cleaning, self care and laundry
* Assistance with disability related needs
* Assisting customers with their transportation needs
* Assistance with community participation based tasks
* Building meaningful positive relationships with customers
* Track and document the customers progress
* Follow procedures in reporting incidents
Ethical disability Services Pty Ltd are looking for:
Motivated individuals who demonstrate empathy and enthusiasm who:
- Have knowledge of NDIS, disability services, WHS as well as a first aid certificate
- Have excellent communication skills including the ability to interact with both verbal and non verbal customers
- Have flexibility to work 24/7 as supports may include evening, overnight or sleepover shifts
- Have qualifications in aged or disability care (cert 3 or higher)
- Have minimum 2 years experience in supporting people with disabilities or complex needs
- Are willing to provide an NDIS workers check, working with children check and police check
- Are covid-19 vaccinated
- Have a valid Victorian drivers license and reliable transport
- Have the right to work in Australia

Salary: $44,914.00 – $89,180.00 per year
