The ROLE
* Supervises workshop staff, including tradespersons and apprentices, ensuring efficient task allocation and performance monitoring.
* Manages production schedules, allocates resources, and oversees workflow to meet deadlines and quality benchmarks.
* Ensures compliance with standards, leads daily pre-start/toolbox meetings, and promotes a safety-first culture.
* Prepares accurate cost estimates for internal and external clients.
* Interprets workshop drawings to guide the teams work in structural steel.
* Maintains workshop cleanliness, equipment readiness, and service schedules.

About YOU
Must haves
* Trade qualification in metal fabrication/boiler making.
* 5+ years relevant experience in a workshop/fabrication environment, with 1-2 years in a supervisory or leading hand role.
* Proficient in reading technical drawings and fabrication documentation.
* Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills to efficiently manage teams and production challenges.
* High-level commitment to quality, safety and organisational standards.
Desirable
* Forklift ticket
* Medium Rigid licence.
