As a Community Options Coach, you'll be a key part of our Community Options Program—a dynamic and engaging day service that supports people with disability to access their communities, develop life skills, and reach their personal goals.
You will work directly with clients to create positive, inclusive, and interactive experiences. Whether it's attending community events, facilitating small group activities, or supporting personal skill development, your work will empower others and make a real difference every day.
What You'll Be Doing
· Supporting individuals to participate in meaningful community and recreational activities
· Facilitating social engagement and life skills development in line with individual support plans
· Providing personal care and safe mobility assistance when required
· Encouraging independence, confidence, and goal achievement
· Promoting inclusion and advocating for clients in the broader community
· Documenting progress, incidents, and day-to-day support activities
· Working collaboratively with a passionate, values-driven team
About You
We're looking for a compassionate, enthusiastic team player who is passionate about supporting people with disability to lead inclusive, fulfilling lives.
You'll need:
· Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) or equivalent
· Current First Aid and CPR certification
· Experience supporting people with disability in a community or day setting
· High-level interpersonal and communication skills
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team
· Competence with IT systems and accurate record-keeping
· A current unrestricted Driver's Licence and willingness to transport clients using your own vehicle (with insurance) or Orana vehicles
Additional Requirements
· NDIS Worker Check and National Police Clearance (or willingness to obtain)
· DHS Working with Children Check (if applicable)
· Must be available for a minimum 2-hour engagement per session
· Flexibility to work across various metro community locations, with some sessions in the evening or on weekends
