Are you a talented and motivated urban planner looking for a challenging role in strategic planning? We have an exciting opportunity for a Principal Planner to join our team on a permanent basis, working in either our Wollongong or Sydney offices. In this role, you will contribute to Stantec business goals by providing professional planning and resource management advice in both statutory and strategic planning.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in statutory or strategic planning, preferably within NSW, with a strong proficiency in urban planning research, data analysis and report writing. You will also possess excellent verbal and written communication skills to liaise with the team, managers and clients, as well as a commitment to self-improvement and continuing professional development.
As a Principal Planner, you will be responsible for developing project plans and strategies for the completion of major projects, including identification of business resource requirements. You will also manage or assist with the preparation of strategies, reports, environmental impact assessments and other planning documentation and submissions on behalf of clients.
You will work closely with multi-disciplinary project teams, lead and assist with the preparation of tender documentation, foster client relationships and identify business opportunities. Additionally, you will grow, develop and mentor junior staff to ensure their continued growth and success within the company.
