Noosa golf Club is currently in the process of building a brand-new maintenance facility which will be fully operational in the coming months. You will have the opportunity to be involved with the overall layout, operational flow of the brand-new facility & final fit out.
Key Responsibilities
Machinery & Equipment Maintenance
Perform scheduled and reactive maintenance on all turf maintenance equipment, including:
Mowers, walk-behind mowers, sprayers, utility vehicles, blowers, trimmers, and chainsaws.
Small engines (2-stroke & 4-stroke), diesel engines, and battery-powered equipment.
Diagnose and repair hydraulic, mechanical, electrical, and fuel system faults.
Perform fabrication and welding (MIG/TIG/arc) for equipment repair or modification.
Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organised workshop environment.
Operate Bernhard grinders for precision spin grinding of cutting cylinders and rapid facing of bed knives. (Training supplied)
Record Keeping & Planning
Record all maintenance, repairs, and servicing performed on machinery and equipment.
Maintain accurate service logs, grinding schedules, and equipment history files.
Track warranty status and ensure all contractual maintenance conditions are met.
Develop and manage preventative maintenance and grinding schedules.
Monitor and maintain workshop inventory, parts, and consumables.
Facility Maintenance & Support
Undertake minor building, plumbing, and facility maintenance tasks within skills and qualifications.
Coordinate and supervise external trades and contractors for work beyond internal scope.
Liaise with management to review and update ongoing maintenance requirements across the club.
Reporting & Operational Support
Provide maintenance reports and updates to the Course Superintendent or General Manager as required.
Be available for urgent repairs or machinery breakdowns during peak periods.
Perform other duties as directed by the Course Superintendent or General Manager.
Safety & Compliance
Ensure all maintenance activities comply with current Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) legislation.
Conduct safety checks, risk assessments, and enforce safe work practices across all maintenance areas.
Assist in staff training for safe machinery operation and maintenance protocols.

Minimum Qualifications
Current Queensland Driver's Licence (essential)
Current First Aid Certificate
Trade qualification in mechanics (diesel/small engines) or substantial equivalent experience (essential)
