You’ll lead digital design modelling, manage standards repositories, and drive network interoperability initiatives critical to Australia's Integrated Force ambitions.Your key responsibilities will include: Managing the LNIC Design Frame Modelling program, coordinating resources and stakeholders. Overseeing program progress, schedules, risks, and reporting to SO2 Design. Generating reports, maintaining project control frameworks, and delivering continuous improvement initiatives. Facilitating collaboration across capability managers, acquisition agencies, and external partners. Supporting critical integration activities across the Land, Joint, and Coalition domains.Location: Symonston, ACT (full-time onsite preferred; some WFH flexibility)Contract Duration: 1 July 2025 — 30 June 2026 (up to 230 days, no extension options)Travel: Some domestic and international travel possible (fully reimbursed)Scope of TaskThe Land Network Integration Centre (LNIC) advises Army on digital network integration efforts to maximise interoperability across Land, Joint, and Coalition interface boundaries. As the digital integration lead, LNIC's mission is crucial to ensuring investments deliver operational advantages across the Army Operating System.The Digital Design Frame program leverages a Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) approach to:Capture the current Land Combat System baseline.Establish and maintain a comprehensive Standards Repository.This allows the Army to undertake structured, evidence-driven decision-making to improve capability planning and integration outcomes.Collaboration and EnvironmentYou'll work closely with: Other LNIC Frames and teams. Acquisition agencies and industry partners.Work Location:Primarily on-site at Symonston, ACT.Non-permanent work-from-home arrangements considered case-by-case.Domestic and international travel to stakeholder engagements, working groups, field trials, or coalition exercises as required.As part of your role, you will: Manage LNIC’s Design Modelling work program, resource allocations, and stakeholder coordination. Develop and maintain detailed project plans, monitor progress, and proactively mitigate risks. Report status to SO2 Design with monthly updates and strategic insights. Ensure compliance with Defence frameworks and LNIC business methodologies. Maintain project budget and resource reporting. Identify and escalate project-related risks affecting schedules or outcomes. Contribute to LNIC's continuous improvement strategies. Represent the SO2 Design in business meetings when required. Deliver ad hoc project support services for LNIC Military Executives.Qualifications and Experience Minimum of 8 years’ experience in Project Management (Level 3 DSS requirement). A recognised Project Management qualification (AIPM Registered or equivalent eligibility within 6 weeks). Strong understanding of PMBOK content and application. Deep knowledge of Defence project management environments including PMMv2. Demonstrated delivery experience within PRINCE2, MSP, P3O, or AGILE frameworks.️ Practical experience working within the One Defence Capability Model environment.
