About the role

This is a diverse and challenging role suited to applicants who enjoy working on a wide variety of equipment.

We are looking for an experienced Manufacturing Assembler who will be an integral part of our Manufacturing Team and who is responsible for carrying out various tasks and activities to ensure our range of products are not only built to completion but also to a high standard.

The successful applicant will have an appropriate level of mechanical knowledge and ability and someone who has a view to long-term growth within the company.

Prior experience in a similar role would be highly regarded.

Structured training and support including product training will be offered to the successful candidate.

Key Responsibilities

You will be required to:

- Assemble new components and machines – mastering all assembly tasks to ensure each machine is completed to a high standard and QC process

- Assemble and mount new components to trucks, trailers

- Maintain a highly professional approach

- Set guides, stops, and other controls on machining tools and presses

- Install/commission machines and equipment as required

- Complete quality control paperwork in detail for each job

- Reporting to the Workshop Manager/Workshop Leading Hand

About you

If you have a keen eye for detail, have the ability to work closely with others and have the physical capabilities that the role requires

The role requires the ability to perform heavy lifting, stand for long periods, and demonstrate manual dexterity throughout assembly tasks.

You must have, or be able to demonstrate :

- Recent relevant experience that includes mechanical assembly or equivalent

- A minimum of 6-12 months experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment

- Ability to read and interpret drawings, manuals, and technical documents

- Experience with engine, pump gear and shaft assemblies preferred

- Experience with trailer assembly preferred

- Small motor experience desirable

- 12V/24V electrical experience desirable

- Competency with general hand and power tools (specialty tools only are supplied by the company)

- An ability to contribute to task planning and effective time management including the ability to prioritise work to meet deadlines

- A high level of self-motivation, initiative and the ability to work unsupervised

- An ability to work within and maintain a clean working environment.

- Australian work rights are required for this position
