The Opportunity
As a Data Analyst, you will be instrumental in a range of analytical projects. Your responsibilities will include:
* Quantitative Analysis: Applying a strong quantitative mindset and technical ability to handle and analyse large datasets.
* Data Handling: Manipulating and extracting data from various sources, including data warehouses.
* Information Synthesis: Synthesising and coordinating complex information to produce clear and actionable insights.
* Communication: Conveying complex data and insights to non-technical audiences, influencing business contexts and policy development.
About You
We are looking for candidates who demonstrate the following skills and experience:
Essential:
* Technical Proficiency: Advanced proficiency with major statistical software packages such as R and Python, as well as EXCEL and SAS/SQL.
* Analytical Skills: Strong technical and analytical ability to work with large, complex datasets.
* Communication: The ability to simplify and communicate complex data insights effectively to a diverse audience.
* Problem-Solving: A talent for coordinating and synthesising complex information to solve problems.
Desirable:
* Academic Background: A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
* Modelling Experience: Experience in mathematical and statistical modelling and forecasting.
* Leadership (EL1): Experience in leading analytical projects and teams.
* Advanced Techniques (EL1): Knowledge of machine/statistical learning techniques such as non-linear regression, neural networks, or similar methods.
