As an IRAP Assessor, you will play a key role in evaluating ICT systems against the Information Security Manual (ISM) and Australian Cyber Security Centre (ACSC) guidelines.
This involves conducting or assisting with IRAP assessments aligned with ACSC and ISM standards. You will also support the review of security controls and the development of documentation including System Security Plans (SSPs), Security Risk Management Plans (SRMPs), and Security Assessment Plans (SAPs) and Reports (SARs).
You will engage directly with government and critical infrastructure clients to build positive rapport, identifying and reporting on control effectiveness, compliance gaps, and risk mitigation strategies. Collaborating with certified IRAP Assessors to gain practical insights and work towards your own accreditation is also essential.
To succeed in this role, you will require strong writing and communication skills, as well as a solid understanding of the ISM, PSPF, and IRAP process. Familiarity with other security frameworks and standards, such as ISO 27001, NIST 800-53, and COBIT, is also desirable.
