Synopsis
Join a new taskforce aimed at improving safety in the community. This permanent role offers a 4 days on / 4 days off roster with 11‐hour shifts between 7:00 am and 12:00 am, and salary of $85,415 plus 33.15% allowances and 12% superannuation.
About The Role
As a Community Safety Officer you'll be part of a high‐performing team supporting Melbourne's safety, amenity, and overall community experience. Your responsibilities include:
* Carrying out visible, proactive patrols to deter offending and provide reassurance to the community.
* Identifying and addressing breaches of relevant legislation, taking appropriate action and supporting positive compliance outcomes.
* Working closely with the public, local businesses, property owners, and tenants, engaging directly with the community, providing guidance and supporting compliance through education and enforcement.
* Collaborating with Victoria Police and other key partners.

About You
* You thrive in community‐focused roles and are comfortable engaging with people from all walks of life.

* Experience in community safety, compliance, law enforcement, security or customer‐facing roles is an advantage.
* You are physically fit, prepared for the active nature of the role, and bring energy, reliability, and a proactive attitude to every patrol and interaction.
