Overview
Vetbiz Pty Ltd is looking for a Financial Controller to join our team. Vetbiz provides a range of specialist business services to a group of veterinary hospitals throughout Southern Tasmania.
Based in our Bellerive office and reporting to individual Directors, the main focus of this role is to drive the financial and risk management operations of Vetbiz and associated operating entities. This includes strategy and planning, financial management, compliance and risk, corporate (company secretary) functions and projects.
The workload is varied and often demand driven linked to projects relating to current initiatives and strategies. You will need to be flexible and adaptable in your approach and be able to take on new challenges as they arise. To succeed in this role, you will need to be able to communicate with influence and be adaptable to the needs of your audience. This role provides high level support and advice to the Directors at both an operational and strategic level.
The position is 3x days per week and we will work with the successful candidates on what flexibility looks like for them.
Responsibilities
- Drive the financial and risk management operations of Vetbiz and associated operating entities.
- Lead strategy and planning activities, financial management, compliance and risk management.
- Coordinate corporate functions including company secretarial duties and project work.
- Provide high-level financial guidance and advisory support to Directors at both operational and strategic levels.
Qualifications
- Relevant degree.
- Membership of CPA or CA.
- At least 5 years’ experience operating at a senior level.
